Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy covers Dave — the exolex you talk to on daveexolex.com — first, in his own section. The Forge apps (Forge Studio, Forge Press, and the Forge browser app) are separate products with a different, device-local model; they have their own clearly labeled section at the end. The two models are not the same, and this page does not mix them.
Dave — the exolex
- Kept server-side, under your own key: your conversation with Dave is kept by Dave, server-side, under your own personal identity key — that is how he remembers you when you come back, on any of your devices. Dave does not run in your browser, and his memory of you is not a file on your phone.
- Sealed to you: what you tell your Dave stays with your Dave. It is never shown to anyone else — not to the original Dave, not to any other visitor — the system is built so it can't be. Nobody here reads your conversations.
- Never sold, never shared: your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone. There are no advertising SDKs and no third-party trackers in Dave.
- Patterns, never people: what Dave learns from everybody is patterns — short notes made only of general categories. No names, no details, nothing you said.
- Forget me: the Forget me control under the chat wipes Dave's memory of you — his server-side keeping and this device's copy — right then, entirely. Gone means gone.
- Counting, nothing more: this website keeps a first-party pageview count — door, path, referring site, and day. No cookies, no IP addresses, no visitor identifiers.
The Forge apps — a separate policy for separate products
The apps published by Dave — Exolex Freewright Partner — Forge Studio, Forge Press, and the Forge browser app — are standalone tools. Unlike Dave, they keep their data on your device or in your browser, and they use keys you supply. Plain version for the apps: your app data stays on your phone or in your browser. We don't sell anything, we don't run ads SDKs, and we don't track you.
Forge Studio
- On your device only: your Gemini API key, app settings, saved scripts, avatar images, and podcast projects are stored on your phone and never sent to us.
- Gemini features: script writing, avatar image generation, and video prompts are sent to Google's Gemini API so the features work. That's Google's service — their privacy policy applies to that traffic.
- Speech: episode voiceover uses your phone's built-in speech services.
- Crash logs: if the app crashes, a log file is saved to your Downloads folder so you can send it to us. It never uploads itself.
📚 Forge Press
- On your device only: your Google Drive sign-in token, Gemini API key, and per-book publishing profiles are stored on your phone.
- Google Drive: the app reads your Drive file names (read-only) to show your book packages. It cannot edit or delete your files.
- Gemini AI help: questions you ask the in-app assistant go to Google's Gemini API.
- Amazon/KDP: the app never logs into Amazon or KDP and never touches your Amazon credentials. You do the final upload tap yourself.
🔨 Forge (the browser app)
- Your accounts, your keys: Forge runs in your browser. The PayPal and Google credentials you connect are yours alone — stored by your browser and sent only to PayPal and Google.
- Your business data: clients, prospects, posts, and payment records you create stay in your browser and your own connected services. We don't see or store them.
What we never do
- We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone.
- No advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers — in Dave or in the apps.
- API keys you paste into an app's Settings are stored only in that app's private storage on your device.
Children
Dave and these apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
